New Fleet Addition - 2023 Kenworth T880 with Jerr-Dan 50/60 (HDR1000) Rotator
Been a while since the last new fleet addition, but here's the newest addition, W-60.
It's a brand new KW T880 with a JD50/60 (HDR1000) 60 ton rotator.
The is the biggest and most advanced truck our fleet has ever rostered.
It was built by Jerr-Dan at their factory exactly as you see it here, other than having our livery applied.
JD actually built it and had it as their centerpiece at the 2023 Baltimore Tow Show. It was white at the time.
As of this post (1/24/24) it's been in service for a few days, and is performing admirably, though it hasn't encountered a task that required its capabilities to be fully employed ... yet.
I was honestly amazed at the tech it's equipped with, both the chassis and the wrecker unit. Cutting edge, top of the line stuff.
