Greetings, and welcome to another classic 10 pack!
But first, a little "local" news - I recently read that the Great Smoky Mountain Railway is rebuilding Southern Railway SOU 722, a 1904 Baldwin 2-8-0 and plan to run it on their passenger trains. The loco ran excursions around the South in the 70's and 80's, but was retired from that service in the early 90's and has sat cold ever since. It actually ran on the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina, better known as the original "Tweetsie" as their 208 after its Southern service, and before the excursion years. It wore the standard mostly black steam loco paint in freight service, but during the excursion years it was painted into Southern's passenger green livery, which I understand is the scheme it will wear after its current rebuild.
Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled programming...
First today, a nice Western Star 5700 for Benny Snow Farms from Dobson, NC.
These are fairly rare in general, but a daycab is particularly unusual.

A Freightliner Coronado.

A nice Freightliner M2-106 for Crossroads Ford from Apex, NC.
You'd think a Ford dealer would have a Ford rollback...

Another Freightliner, this one a Cascadia for Brown Trucking, whose headquarters are in Lithonia, Georgia.

A really cool classic looking Peterbilt 359.
Looks like it just rolled out of the 80's - a true survivor.

A nice Kenworth T270.
Amber lights/strobes are heavily overused. I see all kinds of trucks running them all the time, and the majority of the time they're completely unnecessary. They're so overused folks are starting to ignore them as just part of the scenery.

A Peterbilt 379.

Another Pete, this time a bright 567 for GFL Environmental, who're headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.

A really sharp Peterbilt 389 for V-Max Transportation, whose headquarters are in Zeeland, Michigan.

And lastly, another sharp 389.

That's all for today, thanks for looking!
That’s good news about the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and what a catch on the Western Star
