Here's another 10 pack, again with a wide variety, for your delectation...
First today, a neat Freightliner M2-106 for Wash On Wheels from Wilmington, NC.
A big Prevost X3-45 for Greyhound, who're headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
These big tour buses (and similar RVs) are immensely difficult to tow, and require top-level skill from a wrecker operator, along with special equipment in some cases.
A sharp Mack Granite for S&W Ready Mix Concrete, whose headquarters are in Castle Hayne, NC.
Odd name for a place, huh...? Well, here's a little history - Currently a "Census Designated Place/CDP" near Wilmington, NC, Castle Hayne was originally Castle Haynes, which was a huge mansion and plantation owned by Captain Roger Haynes. Originating from the Captain's purchase of 1,000 acres for 150 pounds sterling silver on the NE branch of the Cape Fear River in 1731. The actual "castle" burned down in the 1800s, but the name, minus the "s", stuck for the area.
A nice Freightliner FLD120 Classic XL for KD On-Time from Fuquay-Varina, NC.
A Mack CHN613.
A RAM 4500.
If that F-150 is 4WD, there's a possibility there's going to be an unhappy owner of a newly damaged F-150.
4WD vehicles have to be either dollied or put on rollbacks to avoid drivetrain damage.
A Freightliner FLC120 for Local Boy Trucking from Delco, NC.
Don't see many of these around, and this one looks pretty decent.
A nifty GMC 8500 for Pave-Rite Asphalt from Leland, NC.
Don't see many of these big, newer GMCs/Chevys, especially tandems. I've always thought they were neat.
A Freightliner Coronado.
And wrapping up today's round, a neat Kenworth T880 for Dilmar Oil Company, who're headquartered in Florence, SC.
And that's all for this batch, thanks for looking!
You wouldn’t think a cement truck would need that many axles. I guess maybe it helps spread out ground weight since they probably go on a bunch of new construction sites.
At first I thought “wash on wheels”was a mobile car/truck wash. Didn’t realize companies did kitchen hood cleaning.
I would assume probably mainly restaurants.
Interesting bunch with some rarities
