As promised, I'm trying out a new post style - "Oddities and Standouts".
This is where I will post trucks (and other things) that I find for sale that are particularly interesting.
I'll make this clear: these are not my photos, not my trucks, and in no way am I connected to any of the owners/sellers of the equipment - I'm just posting some really cool trucks!
So, starting us off today, an unusual International S model.

I'm of course familiar with this style IH cab, but the hood style, and being a SFA, are new to me for this style IH. I'm more accustomed to the SFA IHs of this era being the square-ish hoods with round headlights.
Next, a very unusual Mack Granite.
Modern Mack wreckers are unusual in general, but paired with an NRC composite body slider and a Holmes 750 as a "side-puller"? One of a kind, very strange, but decent looking.

A very cool Mack R ... with a sleeper!

Years ago, an R with a sleeper was commonplace, but now they are rare, and are always interesting and nice to see.
A interesting and very old Autocar DC100.
Looking mighty rough, but really cool! I don't recall seeing an Autocar of this vintage that wasn't a needle nose. This one absolutely deserves to be preserved and restored.
Another Autocar, this one a DC75T.
Very rough shape, but I'd bet an integrated sleeper like that is very rare in preserved Autocars.
This really red rig.

A cool Peterbilt 377 that was used for something specific (but what?), along with that nifty trailer which is not for sale.
A rare bird indeed ... a Brockway!
I've never had the privilege of seeing a Brockway in person, but here's a fairly tired example up for grabs.

A SUPER cool Diamond Reo Giant wrecker.

Diamond Reos are rare enough, but a wrecker? Awesome.
A rare International.

I'm not very knowledgable about vintage IH models, but I believe I've heard this style referred to as an "Emeryville", and also as a duck-bill International. I assume the Emeryville name actually means something specific, and the duck-bill is, of course, a (fitting) jokester nickname.
Another IH, this one a style I've never seen before.

Very interesting, presumably rare, but kinda homely.
And yet another IH, this one a super nice '61 RDF402.

This one is superb - very rare to see an IH of this vintage, and I don't believe I've seen this model before.
And coming to us all the way from the final year of World War 2, a really cool Oshkosh W705.

And lastly, also from 1945, a super cool Sterling!

I knew someone who had a similar Sterling, but was ex-military, a chain-drive, and had a wrecker bed (actually might've been originally built to lift airplane engines for the military). It was super nice and drivable/operable as of a few years ago, but at some point in the past couple years was sold and went out west, either to the midwest or Pacific northwest (the owner I knew was local and had ran it for years and years, but died in 2021).
And that's it for this round - I hope you enjoyed this new post style. Not sure how often I'll do it, but I'll try to do one fairly often, even if it's just a couple vehicles.
Thanks for looking!
Enjoyed this eclectic collection looking forward to the next batch
