With their headquarters in JAX (Jacksonville, Florida), Landstar is a large company made up of owner/operators running wildly varying equipment.
Here are a few of their rigs I've caught.
A highly customized Freightliner Coronado.
A fantastic looking Peterbilt 389.
A great looking Kenworth T680.
A classy looking Peterbilt 379.
A fairly plain and somewhat tired looking Freightliner FLD.
And a Kenworth W900L.
Caught this backing into the small parking lot of National Tire &Battery in Greensboro NC
Always liked the FLD. Definitely a good looking one there.
Nice catch there, probably one of the nicer FLDs I've seen lately, looks like the driver likes to keep his rig looking sharp.
Caught this on I85 NB near Mebane NC
Here are a couple more.
A Pete 389.
A very nice looking KW T800.
And a really cool IH 9300.
Not as fancy as Wreckermans but I caught 2 today.
I can tell you the big bunks are quite an investment but worth every penny. Nice shots
I’d say that parking one of those large sleeper trucks would be practically impossible to park at a truck stop with a trailer unless it’s a special parking spot. I definitely would want to have a camper/sleeper like those if I ran the road but the length could be an issue.
